The foam is centralized along the shin and knee for direct impact protection. The sides are padded too, but they use integrated EVA foam for added, flexible protection. The Conflict"s shape is pre-curved to ensure a snug fit that won"t restrict blood flow or pedaling movement, and its neoprene chassis is perforated for abundant ventilation. Aside from its anatomic shape, the Conflict has elastic straps with hook-and-loop closures to snugly hold it in position.
